Jerry W. Freewalt, P.P. |
Overview:
Brother Jerry Freewalt was born
in Van Wert, Ohio. He has been
married for 52 years to Lady
Sherri. Worked at Dana
Corporation in Fort Wayne in
manufacturing where he retired
after 31 years of service. After
retirement Jerry continued to
work in a variety of capacities
including: Owning an automobile
dealership, a food concession
trailer, and he finally retired
from the Indiana Department of
Transportation.
During his working years,
Brother Jerry was on the
Columbia City Council for 10
years. Served as Vice Chairman
for the DNC, was on the Church
Council of Grace Lutheran
Church, Columbia City and former
Charter Member of Washington
House.
Masonic History:
Brother Jerry was raised in
Southgate Lodge #731 in 1988 and
now has membership in Columbia
City Lodge #189. He is a member
of the Fort Wayne Valley
Scottish Rite and was Past
Worthy Patron and Grand Usher
for Columbia City Order of the
Eastern Star.
Brother Jerry’s passion has
always been the Shrine. He has
taken active roles as the First
circus fair Chairman, Master of
Ceremonies for Potentates Ball,
and served on several Potentate
Ball Committees. He was the
co-chair for the Onion Campaign
twice and is proud to be a
Samsar member of Mizpah.
For Brother Jerry, it has always
been about the kids, and he is
proud to have sponsored several
children through the hospital. |
